Introducing New Director, Britt Hoskins

Hi MCCS Community: Staff, Board, & Families,

I wanted to formally introduce myself! My name is Britt Hoskins, and I’m so honored to have been selected as your new executive director and principal for the 2026-27 school year. What a special community you have here! My heart was touched by meeting the teachers and staff, by seeing the kids hustling off to their classrooms, by hearing them sing at the assembly and receiving the “golden whistle,” and by seeing the line of little boots ready to go outside. I was struck by the care the staff shows for each individual child. I knew when I spent time in the school that this was the right place for me and that I wanted to invest in its future.

I deeply believe in MCCS’s mission and what drew you all to this place: its focus on an outstanding education, place and project-based learning, serving rural communities, fostering hands-on integrated learning, and close connection to our community through relationships with both place and people.

A little about my professional background: I’m a strategic leader, teacher, and communicator. I’m currently wrapping up as the director of an educational nonprofit, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) for Linn and Benton counties. In my current role, I lead a team of dedicated business advisors and instructors teaching business skills to local entrepreneurs. Before this role, I was at OSU for seven years, most of that time focused on overseeing a robust career education program for three colleges: the College of Agricultural Sciences, Forestry, and Earth/Ocean/Atmospheric Sciences. Through these two roles and a variety of others, I’ve built skills in leadership, marketing, grant writing, teaching, curriculum design, budget management, community relations, and more. I have a bachelor’s in Business Management and Spanish from George Fox and a master’s in English: Writing & Rhetoric from Virginia Tech, focused heavily on teaching theory and practice.

Thank you so much for welcoming me into your community. I’m eager to listen and learn, get to know your children, support our teachers, and kick off a great school year in the fall!

Sincerely,

-Britt Hoskins
